Art by SANJULIAN.)/////WILSON by Dan Clowes(no brainer-no explanation-no excuses)

RICHARD PRINCE: T-SHIRT PAINTINGS-HIPPY PUNK

Another Richard Prince show is going on downtown at Salon 94 (on Bowery near the New Museum) and I really fucking liked it. What else can I say?

RICHARD PRINCE @ GAGOSIAN UPTOWN

Hit up the Richard Prince show at Gagosian Uptown titled TIFFANY PAINTINGS and got three floors of the usual Prince sickness. As usual I got shut down by security for pulling my jammy on the actual TIFFANY PAINTINGS, but got plenty of his other stuff with no probs. Nice show, but what a dump of a gallery. SIKE. Oh, and if you haven't hit up the GAGOSIAN STORE, a few doors down, you are SLEEPING.

ROMERO!

Went to the showing of George Romero's SURVIVAL OF THE DEAD last night at BAM, and got to meet a hero/stone cold legend, after an interesting Q&A with the zombie-master. I think the movie was alot better than anyone expected and George seemed to have a blast meeting his nerds..um I mean fans. Ever since seeing DAWN OF THE DEAD at the movies with my dad in 1978, I have been a devoted follower of this maniac, so this was kind of a small dream come true.

OUT MY WINDOW

Its really nice looking out my window and seeing this giant bird every morning, I must say. I watched this guy work on this out of my window half the day because I was home sick with extreme food poisoning (egg salad from C-Town...my bad)and it was really interesting. He worked into the night and when I woke up the next day...voila! New art and no diarrhea. yay.

FRANK FRAZETTA R.I.P.

I started receiving Frazetta books for Xmas and birthdays when I was in 6th grade(1980?1981?), and somehow I've managed to hang onto them through the years. I don't even know how many times I've thumbed through these, but it must be thousands....his stuff was like crack to teenage nerds like me. Boobs, barbarians and monsters, what else did comic book weirdos need, anyway? RIP to a true master artist and stone-cold legend, Frank Frazetta.

JOSEPH SZABO AT THE STRAND

OK, so let me get this straight...nobody wanted to meet, talk to, and get a book signed by photographer Joseph Szabo(ALMOST GROWN, TEENAGE, JONES BEACH) on Saturday at STRAND, but EVERYONE wanted to stand in line to check out the Shepard Fairey show at Deitch? wow.....ok, I'll try not to judge.... Anyway, the pleasure was all ours sir!
