METALION-THE SLAYER MAG DIARIES

Wow, where were all the so-called "metal-heads" when Metalion released his book at Generation Records on Saturday? Should have been more people when publisher Bazillion Points dropped this 744 page, 5 1/2lb. compilation of the famous SLAYER zines that have been a labor of love(and hate?) for Jon "Metalion" Kristiansen in Norway for the last 28 years or so. He even made the trip to NYC for a reading/Q&A/signing and hang session as well. Peep my shitty pics! AMAZING AND MUST-HAVE!

SUMMER=HOCKNEY

Yeah, I get hyped on David Hockney, especially in the warmer months for some reason...Are you ready for the Summer?

FESTIVAL OF INDIA

The Hare Krishna Festival of India took over Washington Square Park last Saturday. I'm into it. Cell phone pic of statue of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, founder of the Hare Krishna movement in NYC in 1966. Chant and be happy, what can it hurt?

D-DAY

Hit the D-Day museum in New Orleans last week ON D-DAY(anniversary June 6)....pretty cool. Not a WW2 buff or anything, just a casual "fan?" They show a WW2 movie in 4-D though...real snow falling on you and your seat shakes and gets buck wild...now that was weird. A few shots of the museum....eh.
