KENNY SCHARF NATURAFUTURA

worth a look? yeah. Hit up Paul Kasmin on 10th ave.

KARLHEINZ WEINBERGER PART 2

The other Weinberger show is at the Swiss Institute and titled Intimate Stranger. Consisting of even more Swiss bikers and J.Ds, this time shot in glorious black and white. Also a color slide show and a bunch of biker regalia is on display, which is some amazing shit. Really awesome show for those interested in youth/outlaw culture and photography. Hit it up while you can.

KARLHEINZ WEINBERGER PART 1

There are two Weinberger shows in NYC right now and I hit both this weekend. First one I visited is at Anna Kustera Gallery in Chelsea. Juvenile delinquents and bikers in Switzerland in the 60s and 70s? Say no more. Amazing documents of this time and place.

KITTEN WITH A WHIP

Wonderfully cold night at Anthology Film Archives for John Waters presents Kitten With A Whip to a sold out crowd. I could listen to him speak about movies all night, I swear. Plus, we got to sit behind two amazing artists, Gaspar Noe and Cindy Sherman, which was kind of cool. Chill night.

CURRIN BOOKS

Two John Currin Books I've picked up recently. Both catalogues from exhibits from several years ago. The pink one is from a show at Taka Ishii Gallery in Tokyo. Really into his style, as I think that I've stated before, and I'm sure I'll say again. and again.
